FAQ

What is County Films’ latest project about?

County Films recently produced the first two episodes of an innovative, inclusive web television series: Suicide Spenders. It’s a coming-of-age story about an unexpected week in the lives of six high-schoolers, when teenage rebellion meets razor-sharp social commentary. Find out more about the project and the cast.

Where does Suicide Spenders take place?

Jersey City, New Jersey.

Why there?

Our top priority is giving city kids an authentic voice in media and providing creative opportunities to students within Hudson County school districts – and we firmly believe in the well of talent found in Hudson County’s youth community.

I’m an actor – can I be a part of this?

While our official talent search concluded this summer, we welcome any opportunity to collaborate with local talent. If you are a resident of Hudson County between the ages of 13 and 21 and will be available this fall in the Jersey City area, feel free to email us at reyhan@countyfilms.com with your interest.

I’m a musician/visual artist/another type of wonderfully creative person – can I be a part of this?

Yes! Again, we’re looking to spotlight the creativity found in Hudson County as much as possible. Contact us at reyhan@countyfilms.com and we’ll figure out a place in the project where you may fit.

How can I support this project?

Thanks for your interest! There are a number of ways you can help us get our voices heard:

  • Spread the word about us. Perhaps you know of a standout actor or musician in your life you can notify, or you could share our information with any media movers and shakers you know. Social media and word-of-mouth are equally as welcome.
  • Donate. We are a small company running on a tight budget, so any donations – from financial assistance to props and costumes – is greatly appreciated. Your generosity and support of local artists telling authentic stories will make this project possible. Please support and spread the word about our Kickstarter campaign, as well.
  • Feature us. If you’re a reporter or member of the media who is interested in our story, we would love to tell you more about us.
  • Share your expertise. Are you a professional in media or law who can offer us some of your time and talent? Please do!

Kindly send all inquiries, media/meeting requests and donation questions to reyhan@countyfilms.com.
